“Nile Street is a discovery-based e-commerce platform for consumers, sellers, and start-ups. To further support businesses within our community, Nile Street also provides creative marketing services, financial services, consulting, product development, and IT services.” - Nile St.

Nile Street’s name is linked to the Nile river which served as the source of living for Ancient Egypt. Along the Nile is where food and resources were found and cultivated. Along with a being a means of travel, the Nile is what the ancient civilization depended on for their goods and services.

Nile St needed a recognizable mark that carried aspects of the brand’s inspiration which would primarily function in the digital space through web, app, and social media. In addition to a logo, the company sought for an entire brand family that provide a cohesive display of their identity throughout various applications that would be needed for their e-commerce needs.

The notion of a river and continuous flow is brought in the logo design to link back to the customer being able to count on the flow of goods and services being available on Nile St. Street name signages serve as the inspiration to package the wordmark through a frame to create boldness and the manner in which “st” is visualized within the logo.

Most integral to the identity is the “wave” component of the logo which becomes the recognizable icon that is intended to exist within the digital world. The wave also flows perfectly as the tying aesthetic throughout various Nile St graphics which tie the family together.
